STEM High-Quality Career Pathway Grants

On March 8, 2017 Doherty Memorial High School hosted the announcement of the STEM High-Quality Career Pathway Grants.

The grants are composed of a $750,000 grant from the state and a $300,000 matching grant from the One8 Foundation to Project Lead The Way for 45 schools in Massachusetts.

Superintendent Maureen Binienda and Doherty High Principal Sally Maloney welcomed special guests Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito, Dr. Rex Bolinger of Project Lead The Way, Katherine Skrivan of MA STEM Hub, and WPI Provost Bruce Bursten. Guests visited classrooms utilizing the Project Lead The Way curriculum. They spoke with staff and students and made known their commitment to promoting high-quality applied learning in schools.
