Welcome to Worcester East Middle School!
As the designated middle school for the North Quadrant of the Worcester Public School district, WEMS serves 750 scholars in grades 7 and 8 – who enthusiastically exhibit their Tiger Pride!
Scholars are regularly acknowledged for their academic achievements, including through a Student of the Month Breakfast in which families are invited.
Fostering an inclusive culture to affirm students of all backgrounds, WEMS offers athletics and after-school clubs such as Drama; Girls on the Run, which is an organization with activities for girls to promote their emotional and physical health; and the Ryken Scholars Program, which provides mentorship and educational opportunities for boys through partnerships with St. John’s High School and Quinsigamond Community College.
Our goal is for students to become critical thinkers who are able to demonstrate their reasoning and application of academic concepts through clear, coherent writing.
