The Painting and Design program is designed to establish a thorough knowledge and habits of a well-rounded trades-person in the Painting and Decorating field. The program is limited only by the student's desire and capability to learn. The program trains students in the fundamentals of interior and exterior residential and commercial painting and decorating. Students are instructed in the proper use of a wide range of state of the art equipment which enables them to bid on jobs in a cost effective and competitive manner.

All eligible students have the opportunity to participate in Cooperative Education and Internship experiences at a variety of approved learning sites across the city in their junior and/or senior year. While the requirements and specific opportunities vary from school to school, and program to program, the structured combination of classroom based education and practical work experience provides students with the skills necessary to comfortably navigate the world of work.
