Unifying Leadership and Shaping Our Future Together

Dear Woodland and Claremont Academy Caregivers and Community Members,

We are writing to share an important update regarding the leadership structure of our schools for the upcoming school year.

Beginning in July, Woodland Academy and Claremont Academy, which currently reside within the same building, will be overseen by one principal instead of two. Mr. Chris LaBreck, the current principal of Claremont Academy, will take on the role of principal of both Claremont and Woodland Academy for the 2025-26 school year.

This unified leadership model will allow us to strengthen collaboration across both schools, streamline decision-making, and provide a more cohesive educational experience for all students. Mrs. Patricia Padilla, the current principal of Woodland Academy, will take on a new role at the district leadership level.

This change marks an exciting opportunity for growth and change. During the 2025–2026 school year, the schools under the leadership of Mr. LaBreck will engage staff, families, and community members in a collaborative process to create a new vision and redesign for the school. Together, we will define priorities, shape the school’s identity, and build a strong foundation for the future of our students.

We are committed to transparency and inclusion throughout this process and will share more details soon about opportunities to get involved.

Thank you for your ongoing partnership and support as we move forward together.

If you have any questions, please contact Mr. LaBreck, Mrs. Padilla, or Dr. Shannon Conley, Interim Executive Director of the South Quadrant for Worcester Public Schools.

Sincerely,
Worcester Public Schools
