Dear Goddard School Community,
I hope you are doing well. I am writing to formally announce that Ms. Kara Scichilone has been selected as Acting Principal of Goddard School of Science and Technology for the 2026-27 school year.
Most of you know Ms. Scichilone well: She has worked at Goddard for 26 years, including the past nine years as Assistant Principal. Prior to that, she held the roles of Focused Instructional Coach, and fifth- and sixth-grade teacher.
Her years of experience have given her the unique opportunity to teach and work with multiple generations of families from the Main South neighborhood. Ms. Schichilone is committed to fostering a school community where every child feels valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.
I would like to deeply thank Dr. Karrie Allen for her outstanding leadership of the Goddard School over the past several years. Her tireless commitment and dedication has created a school that’s well connected to the community it serves and continuously improves student outcomes. We are all indebted to Dr. Allen for her service to the Goddard community and the Worcester Public Schools.
Ms. Scichilone’s deep knowledge of the Goddard School and her commitment to student success will be an asset as she becomes Acting Principal. She looks forward to connecting with students, families, and staff in her new role.
Until then, please have a safe and enjoyable summer.
Sincerely,
Christopher Kursonis
