On Saturday, October 4, fourteen Worcester Public Schools students participated in a Modern Band Workshop hosted by Berklee College of Music.
Guided by Danielle Collins of InspireEd, students prepared and performed two songs, gaining hands-on experience in collaboration and musical performance. They also participated in a panel discussion with more than 40 music educators from New England and New York, led by Dr. Bryan Powell of Music Will.
Participating students:
North High School: Ginalee Diaz, Jazenaliz Cordova, Adriani Lovet, William Quinones Soliver, Caleb Opoku Ampong, Seerwan Al Shankal
South High Community School: Camilla Snyder, Jadiel Ortiz, Pavel Orellana
Burncoat Middle School: Giovanni LeBron, Maria Perez Hernandez, Marco Gambaccini, Ian Vigo Torres, Mia Santos
The students’ talent, teamwork, and creativity left a lasting impression on workshop attendees and highlighted the opportunities WPS provides for students to explore their musical passions.
