Parent pick-up map

Dear Roosevelt School Families and Staff,

Beginning Monday, April 27, Roosevelt Elementary School will put in place new parking patterns as part of a pilot program to promote a safer student dismissal process.

This new plan is part of an order from the Worcester City Council, which was developed by the City’s Department of Transportation and Mobility along with the Worcester Police Department in collaboration with Worcester Public Schools.

Please take a moment to examine the traffic map posted below:

What’s Changing?

  • On the eastbound side of Grafton Street (the side of the road where the Roosevelt School is located), there will be a designated parent/guardian vehicle drop-off and pick-up area after the school driveway (as shown above.)

  • There will be no parking on both sides of Grafton Street at the section in front of the Worcester Public Library and continuing west.

Full Details

Please view the Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up Procedures page of the Roosevelt School website for full details.

The City will continuously evaluate the parking and traffic patterns during this pilot period, and may continue this new system if the pilot is shown to be successful. We will inform you of any developments.

Thank you for working cooperatively with us to promote the safety of our students and families, along with being a good neighbor.

In partnership,

Maureen Power

Principal
