Ramadan Kareem! 🌙
Today begins the period of Ramadan on the Islamic lunar calendar.
“It is a month filled with spiritual growth, community love, and delicious iftars,” explained Kowsar, a senior from Worcester Technical High School and intern in the WPS Communications Office.
Many Muslims participate in fasting over the course of the month. The end of Ramadan marks the beginning of Eid al-Fitr, the festival of the breaking of the fast, which includes religious services and gifts.

Upon initially joining our community several years ago, it was evident Renny was set apart from his peers in how he prioritized caregivers' roles in IEP team meetings. You can find Renny around a conference table explaining the process using culturally appropriate communication (and Spanish!), or you may find him inside the home of one of our students, sitting at a kitchen table carefully reviewing the IEP with an uneasy or even illiterate parent.
