Dear Worcester Public Schools Community,
I am writing to wish you all a happy and healthy season of festivities. I would like to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude and warm wishes to each and every one of you.
To our families and caregivers: You partner with us and make sure your children arrive at school ready to learn. You are essential in their success and we cannot do it without you.
To our educators: You go above and beyond to make sure our scholars have the best education possible. You greet them with a smile, show patience and resolve, and stay focused on what matters most.
To our support staff: From custodians to food service workers, to office staff, counselors, and nurses, you all play a crucial role in making sure our scholars have what they need and deserve.
And to our community: Thank you for sharing the work with us. You help provide access and opportunities for our students and families.
As I visit schools every week, I witness caring, dedicated teachers, engaged scholars, and a focus on instructional rigor and academic excellence.
We have a lot to celebrate in the Worcester Public Schools and I am proud of what we have accomplished together during the first half of this school year.
I will be sharing updates with you at my inaugural State of the Worcester Public Schools Address in January. Stay tuned for more information on when that will take place.
Until then, let’s stay focused on the spirit of the season – and cherish unity, kindness, and gratitude toward one another.
From all of us here in the Worcester Public Schools, may you have a joyful holiday season.
From here, anywhere… together.
Sincerely,
Rachel H. Monárrez, Ph.D.
Superintendent
