WORCESTER — Wednesday, February 4, 2026 — Dr. Arthur F. Sullivan Middle School received a surprise $10,000 donation from Eaton, D-IT Worcester, in partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org, announced during the school’s monthly staff meeting.
AdoptAClassroom.org is a national nonprofit that partners with donors to provide PreK–12 teachers with the resources and supplies students need.
Eaton’s $10,000 donation will support science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) education at Sullivan Middle School by providing additional classroom materials for students and teachers.
“On behalf of the Sullivan School Community, I would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Eaton for their generous contribution,” said Sullivan Middle School Principal Kendra Cox. “Their support will directly benefit our students and STEAM teachers, helping to provide valuable resources to enhance teaching and learning in our classrooms. We are deeply grateful for Eaton’s continued partnership, which began with the incredibly generous food drive they led in November to support our families. Eaton’s ongoing generosity helps us serve our school community in powerful ways and we are truly thankful for their support.”

Sullivan Middle School students and educators,” said Eaton D-IT Worcester Plant Manager Aravind Melatur. “We remain committed to strengthening our community and look forward to continued opportunities to make a meaningful impact."
Eaton, an intelligent power management company, has operated in Worcester for more than 90 years. Formerly known as Wright Line LLC before being acquired by Eaton in 2011, the company remains a long-standing employer in the city and encourages employees to be active contributors within the community.
All donations to Worcester Public Schools are required to be approved by the Worcester School Committee. This item is on the agenda for an upcoming meeting.
