Born in a refugee camp in Thailand and raised in Massachusetts, Hopsa has carried the weight of her family’s hopes and dreams as the eldest of five siblings. Her experiences bridging language and cultural gaps for her parents have instilled in her a deep sense of responsibility, resilience, and empathy.
With a passion for STEM, particularly biology, Hopsa has always been fascinated by the inner mechanisms of living organisms. This passion has driven her to pursue a career in the medical field, aiming to contribute to scientific advancements and improve people’s health and well-being.
Hopsa plans to attend MIT, where she will pursue pre-med studies. MIT’s academic excellence and robust support from Pre-health Advising make it the perfect environment for her pre-medical journey.

📢We are thrilled to announce that on Monday, June 3, the DCU Center was buzzing with energy and enthusiasm as students from across Massachusetts gathered to present their remarkable projects at the DESE Civics Action Showcase!
Featured Projects:
Forest Grove: Our students tackled pressing real-world issues such as smoking cigarettes, improving school lunches, and addressing gun violence. Their projects demonstrated a deep understanding of and commitment to resolving the challenges facing our communities.
Sullivan Middle School: Our scholars presented on crucial topics like vaping, organizing a food raiser, and kids' reflections on the importance of trees. These projects showcased their dedication to promoting a healthier and more responsible future.
North High School: Students showcased the impactful work of their Mental Health Awareness Club (BC2M) and presented projects addressing animal cruelty. Their efforts highlighted their commitment to mental health advocacy and animal rights.

This Memorial Day, we remember and honor the brave men and women from Worcester and across the nation who served in the military and gave their lives for our freedom. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.
Memorial Day, originally known as Decoration Day, began in 1868 following the Civil War to honor the Union and Confederate soldiers who died in the war. 🕊️🌹

Seal of Biliteracy & Pathway Celebration Ceremony🏅
On Thursday night, we honored 210 Massachusetts state-recognized bilingual and biliterate students at Worcester Technical High School during the annual State Seal of Biliteracy celebration ceremony.





Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, one-third of the legendary hip hop trio Run DMC, visited with students of Worcester Alternative on Wednesday to discuss the importance of mental health and perseverance through life’s obstacles.
